‘Mad Men’ season 7: What Christina Hendricks is taking with her
Is it a surprise that the stars of “Mad Men” are so attached to the show that they would want to take some parts of it with them everywhere that they go? Hardly. What is a surprise to us is mostly that Lionsgate is actually charging the cast for some of what they want to take with them after years of hard work.
This revelation was made pretty clear to us in an interview that Christina Hendricks gave recently to Vulture, where she explained a little bit about what sort of things she was planning to bring back home with her:
“I am taking away a picture from Joan’s apartment, but I have to pay for it. It’s an Asian mosaic landscape. That’s always been in her apartment and I just love it so much, so I thought even though [Lionsgate is] charging me, it’s worth it … Some people really liked a lamp in their office, some people really liked glassware, personal things like a lighter — a lot of people wanted things from their desk.”
For all of the cast members, we would assume that the single constant here is that this entire process has been strange, emotional, and yet also wonderful and liberating. There is a clean slate ahead of them, and they just have the challenge right now of figuring out what they want to do with it. We assume that some will dive back into another TV show, while a few others will migrate over to film a try a few things over there.
