For those of you wondering who is going to be the new female face in the world of “Hawaii Five-0,” we now have an answer for you: Amanda Setton!
The actress, who is coming off of a major role on another CBS role in “The Crazy Ones,” is (per a report from TV Guide) going to be stopping by the procedural in a major recurring role as Max’s new trainee Dr. Mindy Shaw. There isn’t too much known about her right now, save for the fact that she is very good at her job, and also has a history of doing some very outstanding work in a limited amount of time.
This change is just one of many to a show that seems to be always shaking things up in some capacity, as rare as that may be for some procedural dramas. Over the past couple of years, we have seen Chi McBride join as a series regular, the temporary leave for Grace Park, the surprising events of the finale, and also Jorge Garcia signing on to do a much larger role moving forward.
The new season of “Hawaii Five-0” will be coming to CBS on Friday, September 26, and we know that there are plenty of additional surprises coming up the rest of the way. Some of the biggest things to come here include more cases, new love interests, and some opportunities to really further along these characters’ stories as though this is real life. This is a show with a good bit of momentum despite its timeslot, so it will be interesting to see if they can keep that going.
