‘Longmire’ season 3, episode 8 preview: How will Vic recover from her capture?

Monday night’s “Longmire” was most likely one of the series’ best episodes, and it consisted of many things. There was a capture sequence, great acting from Katee Sackhoff, and also Walter Longmire being able to check one name seemingly in Chance off of the list of possible suspects. It’s also likely that you can check Chance off of the list of living people based on whatever happened in that shootout at the end of the episode that happened off-camera.

Given that we saw Walt in the preview that aired after Monday’s episode, it’s pretty fair to say that he found a way to make it through the madness alive. But where will the story take him? The synopsis below at least suggests that there will be in part a case-of-the-week plot ahead to go along with more for Vic:

A life insurance policy complicates the investigation into a farmer’s murder; Vic gets an ultimatum.”

Given everything that happened, we wonder if this ultimatum is something along the lines of Sean wanting to ensure that he doesn’t get in danger of dying anymore. Who could really blame the guy given what just happened?

While it isn’t mentioned in the synopsis, we know that one of the other stories to watch out for is going to be the worsening condition of Branch, who is becoming so desperate for his own personal vengeance that he is losing sight of almost everything. When you have a guy this impossible to work with, he could just end up being trouble for all around him.
