‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6 spoilers: ‘Eureka’ star to be major villain
Is someone wicked coming to “The Vampire Diaries” season 6? Early reports suggest that we do now have the Big Bad for what should be an interesting handful of episodes moving forward.
Sources confirm that Colin Ferguson of “Eureka” fame will be appearing this season, starting in the premiere episode, as Tripp. He is a strong, dedicated man who runs a community militia and watches over the group of young people who follow his every move. His attitude and confidence bring followers to him, and he will clash both early and often with Sheriff Forbes.
What we hope for this role is that Ferguson actually lasts for a substantial period of time, if for no other reason than that we haven’t yet seen many other villains from the show actually go from start to finish on the season. This is something that we loved on “Dexter” with the Trinity Killer, and our expectation now is that this guy would be killed off by the time the fall comes around. This is the way the series operates, so our vote is for them at least trying to break the mold a little bit.
The new season of “The Vampire Diaries” is getting to premiere on Thursday, October 2 on The CW, and we know that there are some other big announcements coming soon. At least we know for sure that Ian Somerhalder and Kat Graham are going to return, though we still have to wait and see just what capacity that will be in.
