‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 spoilers: ‘Star Wars’ alum rumored to be signing on
It may take you a minute or two to pull the name “Keisha Castle-Hughes” out of your memory bank, but if you try hard enough we imagine that you will be successful.
For those who still don’t know, she was an Oscar nominee for “Whale Rider” back when she was still a child over a decade ago, and she went on to eventually play the Queen of Naboo during “Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.” Now, she is one of the names rumored to be joining the cast for “Game of Thrones” season 5.
While this information is far from confirmed at the moment, the New Zealand Herald claims that she will be playing one of the Sand Snakes on the upcoming season. These are characters who, without giving too much away, have very close ties to the late Prince Oberyn Martell. Getting them on the show is a way to continue the Rep Viper’s story, even if he no longer has a physical presence for any of it.
The fifth season of “Game of Thrones” is gearing up now, and will be filmed in all sorts of locations throughout Europe. As of right now, Spain, Iceland, Croatia, and Northern Ireland are all either reported or confirmed to be locations, with the latter being the primary setting for where filming is done thanks to their interior settings. For Oberyn’s story, we know in particular that Spain is going to double for Dorne on the show.
As for when you can see the show return to HBO right now, think along the lines of April 5. This is around the same window that it has started up in every window before now, and we know that HBO loves to have it in this frame since it allows for there to be a complete series that airs before it in the year, and also one that follows it up.
