‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 2 spoilers: Take a deeper dive into Abbie’s past

Want to know more about what shaped Abbie Mills into the person that she is on “Sleepy Hollow“? While you already know plenty about that childhood encounter with Moloch in the woods, that is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this character’s story on the Fox series … and you better be prepared to find out so much more about it.

Speaking to TV Guide in a new interview, executive producer Mark Goffman offered up the following while talking a little bit about the Abbie story … which does give us at least a little bit of hope that she is not going to be locked up in purgatory forever:

“We’re going to be digging into Abbie’s past a lot more and getting to know more about her family and her heritage, which is a big part of the show this season. We’re also going to be filling out the town even more, so we’ll get to see what the people of Sleepy Hollow are like.”

When we think of these two sentences, the question that really comes to mind is not so much what was in the past as it is how the past could end up impacting the present in some way. If you recall back to season 1, almost everything we saw in some way with Ichabod’s past came back to haunt him, whether it be his “friendship” with Abraham or some of his interactions with George Washington. Everything had a purpose. Given the significance of Abbie in this world, we have to feel the same way.
