‘Fargo’ season 2 renewal close to happening; could any season 1 stars return?
We’ve made our affection of “Fargo” more than a little clear over the past several months. It was well-acted, superbly-written, and one of the few adaptations of a popular property that actually lived up to the hype.
None of this, though, really serves to answer a very important question: Will the show actually return to FX for another season? So far, producers have been noncommittal, saying mostly that they will only bring the show back in the event that they have a great story worth telling.
Well, it looks like the team may have figured out that story. According to a new report from TVLine, the renewal for the show is almost a formality at this point, and it may feature all-new characters much in the same way that the show did the movie.
In the event that the show does decide to feature a familiar face or two, Allison Tolman certainly seems to be open to it. Speaking to the publication, she had this to say while reflecting on her amazing experience the first time around:
“There’s discussion of there being a second season and it being a brand-new cast, [but] I’m just not sure … [Even if it is the end, with it] being my first experience making a television show, it was really special. I was very well taken care of. I loved the people that I worked with. It was really a blessing.”
We would be happy to see Tolman’s Molly again, but only if there is a definite reason to bring her back. All we really want to see from the show moving forward is patience. We don’t want to see it rushed just to get it back in the same time we had it earlier this spring.
