TV quick hits: ‘Masters of Sex’ season 2 scoop; ‘Sharknado 2’ trailer; Jenny McCarthy awkwardness

“Masters of Sex” has a new addition – The guest cast for this upcoming second season (premiering this Sunday!) is a big one, and the latest name to join the fray is none other than Marin Ireland.

Per Deadline, the “Homeland” alum is going to recur on the Showtime series as Pauline, the wife of new cast member Frank (Christian Borle). The two seek Masters held in order to conceive a child, which is something that he should know quite a bit right now thanks to his personal and professional experience.

Sarah Silverman, Allison Janney, and many more are among the faces that you should expect to see back on the show again throughout the summer.

“Sharknado 2: The Second One” trailer – We imagine that this trailer is almost exactly everything that you would expect it to be. There are sharks. There are also tornadoes. Also, you have Ian Ziering proving yet again that he loves a chainsaw. This movie is premiering on Syfy on July 30, and despite however cynical you may be about the concept, we still have a pretty strong feeling that you’re going to want to watch this. We’ll be right there with you.

Jenny McCarthy’s “View” gaffe – Well, we wonder if McCarthy regrets saying this now. At this point, you’ve likely heard that the former “Singled Out” co-host is leaving “The View.”

Speaking in an interview with New You that happened before she left the show, she was asked what she imagined herself doing in 20 years. Hilariously, this was her reply:

“Believe it or not, I think I’m in still on ‘The View.’ I love the show … I want to have beautiful, healthy grandkids and still have Donnie [Wahlberg] be the hunky love of my life.”

Awkward? You better believe it.
