‘Covert Affairs’ season 5, episode 3 preview: Annie and McQuaid’s next move

Covert Affairs -While “Covert Affairs” season 5 definitely started things off on a little more of a serious note, we were rather pleased with the way in which the show directed itself this past episode. We have Annie and McQuaid forming an unusual relationship, and one that is fun in addition to being important to the arc of the story. Also, you have Auggie dealing with the after-effects of the bombing, and almost every principal character having something important to do.

Next week, we have an episode that may contain one of our favorite episode titles ever in “Unseen Power of the Picket Fence.” That’s a high mark for the rest of the episode to live up to! There is probably a certain essence of drama within the hour, but the title’s innately funny. If this turns out to be one of the most serious episodes of the show ever, we’re going to feel pretty awkward in the end.

Before we do anything else now, go ahead and check out the full synopsis below:

Annie and McQuaid join forces to get out of Venezuela, while Joan works with Arthur and Caitlyn Cook to extract their fellow operatives. Elsewhere, Calder’s affair takes a new direction.”

We wanted to share that first because the promo below is not exactly that in-depth when it comes to scoop. Instead, it mostly just presents what is coming up as an entertaining extraction mission that will push McQuaid and Annie, and force the two to work together in order to evade pretty much an entire continent that is looking for them.
