‘The Last Ship’ episode 3 preview: Chandler’s latest battle

“The Last Ship” is gaining ground through two episodes, and while the show definitely does have its weak moments, there is so much that it does right that keeps it compelling. One of these is the mere fact that it does remain so ambitious for cable TV. It certainly doesn’t look like something on a limited budget, and we can say that for certain.

So now that we are two episodes in, are you stoked? We’re starting to get to know the characters, and thanks to that, you don’t want to see anything terrible happen to them. Chandler is going to be in some extensive trouble in the next episode, as he has to deal with demands that one of his best team members is turned over to another side. This is going to be a battle, and it will show off further some of the politics that exist in this new world. Just because this show is entitled “The Last Ship” doesn’t mean that you should take that name entirely literally.

“The James faces off against a new foe who demands Chandler hand over Rachel and her research. When Chandler refuses, he and his crew are put to the test as Chandler engages in a series of risky strategic moves. But it turns out their new enemy has his own horse in the race to find a cure for the virus.”
