For a young (albeit fictional) person, Callie on “The Fosters” seems to be consistently dealing with quite a bit of stress. Not only is she struggling with the “new” biological family that she didn’t quite know about, but there are relationship problems, and also implications stemming from what is happening in her life right now impacting Jude.
Things are looking more and more like they are going to be coming to a head during the upcoming fifth episode of the season entitled “Truth Be Told,” at least according to a new press release from ABC Family:
“Callie frets about the anxiety her recent decisions have caused Jude. Emma second-guesses her breakup with Jesus, putting him in an awkward position with a new love interest and with Mariana, who becomes unwillingly involved in his dilemma. Stef struggles with her suspicions about Mike and debates moving forward with her investigation into Ana’s disappearance. When Brandon’s bandmates take him on a hike for some “special” inspiration, Brandon opens up to an unexpected confidant about his past transgressions. And Callie’s emotions get the better of her when things get hot and heavy with Wyatt.”
At this point in the season, this is where things do tend to take an interesting turn. You are a handful of episodes in, emotions start to near their peak, and you constantly wonder whether things are going to be pushed beyond repair.
We’ll have more on “The Fosters” over the weekend, including via sneak peeks, so be on the lookout for that.
