CBS Fall Schedule: ‘NCIS’ season 12, ‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8 premiere dates

CBS LogoCBS announced its full fall schedule in full on Tuesday, which should be of interest to almost any significant TV fan given their number of dominant series. This is a shift from past years for the network, given that there is no longer a consistent Thursday lineup thanks to NFL football on the lineup. Instead, “The Big Bang Theory” will start the year on a different night, and then shift back once football is over. This also complicates things for some other shows, but the positive is that there will be fewer weeks of repeats for many of them.

All of the times below are Eastern, so adjust accordingly depending on your region.

Sunday, September 21

  • 7:00 – “60 Minutes”
  • 8:00 – “Madam Secretary” (new series)
  • 9:00 – “The Good Wife”

Monday, Sept. 22

  • 8:00 – “The Big Bang Theory” (back-to-back episode premiere)
  • 9:00 – “Scorpion” (new series)
  • 10:00 – “Under the Dome” (finale)

Tuesday, Sept. 23

  • 8:00 – “NCIS”
  • 9:00 – “NCIS: New Orleans” (new show)
  • 10:00 – “Person of Interest”

Wednesday, Sept. 24

  • 8:00 – “Survivor”
  • 9:00 – “Extant” (2-hour finale)

Friday, Sept. 25

  • 8:00 – “The Amazing Race” (new time)
  • 9:00 – “Hawaii Five-0”
  • 10:00 – “Blue Bloods”

Sunday, Sept. 28

  • 10:00 – “CSI” (new time)

Monday, September 29

  • 8:30 – “Mom”
  • 10:00 – “NCIS: Los Angeles”
  • 10 pm NCIS: Los Angeles (Season 6)

Wednesday, October 1

  • 9:00 – “Criminal Minds”
  • 10:00 – “Stalker”

Monday, October 27

  • 8:00 – “2 Broke Girls”

Thursday, October 30

  • 8:00 – “The Big Bang Theory” (time period premiere)
  • 8:30 – “The Millers”
  • 9:00 – “Two and a Half Men”
  • 9:30 – “The McCarthys” (new series)
  • 10:00 – “Elementary”

There is nothing in here that is so completely surprising that it will blow you away, though we are slightly nervous about our beloved “Amazing Race” in its new time, and wonder whether or not “The Big Bang Theory” will be hurt at all by being thrown around the schedule a bit.
