‘Longmire’ season 3, episode 5 preview: Walt and a list of suspects

We don’t necessarily want to make a statement that is so broad as that next week’s “Longmire” is the episode that you’ve been waiting for, but in many ways this may be true. It feels like tonight’s episode was more of a prelude to this, at least in that this may finally be the chance you have been waiting for to see significant progression in the case of Walt’s wife.

In order to make this progress, though, Walt may need a little help from a new source. This is where Lucian Connally comes in. He has comprised a list of likely suspects, and wants to start to narrow them down as best as possible. The comparison that we can actually think about right now when it comes to this story is what happened with Red John on “The Mentalist,” where over time Patrick Jane narrowed it down to just a few people, and then eventually one person emerged from the ashes. While we know the end of the story was controversial, the buildup there was absolutely fantastic.

We will go ahead and share the A&E synopsis for the episode below, mostly because we always do and to stop going down this road now would feel a little weird. With this being said, we do have to say that this is hardly going to be something to get you feeling informed:

“Walt works with Lucian Connally to narrow down the suspects in his wife’s murder.”

We are just happy that there is significant progression being made, but we still have to say that we would be shocked to find out that the story is resolved before the finale.
