‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Josh Murray, Chris Soules on Andi Dorfman’s lie-detector date
As we said on Monday when the lie-detector date was teased for “The Bachelorette,” this has to be one of the worst ideas for a date on this show that we have ever heard of. Even in the event that nothing becomes of these results and Andi Dorfman doesn’t even look at them, why in the world would you even subject the guys to something this uncomfortable? Even though this show may be trashy at times, we still felt like it was above this.
Given that we know already that Cody Sattler and Nick Viall are given the one-on-one dates in this episode, this means that Chris Soules, Marcus Grodd, Josh Murray, JJ O’Brien, Brian Osbourne, and Dylan Pettit were all on this date. Usually at this point in the season everyone is on at least one date a season.
Here is what ABC’s press release for the episode had to say about this date, and some of the fireworks that are understandably going to come as a result of it:
“The Bachelorette takes six excited bachelors to the quaint town of Monselice, where they soak up the local culture. When they arrive at a medieval castle where prisoners were interrogated, Andi reveals that all the men will be taking lie detector tests. One charming man is nervous that his big secret will be uncovered. But the real shock comes when Andi finds out that four of her bachelors are not telling the truth. What will she do about it? At the group date after party, one dashing bachelor shocks Andi with a surprise revelation while another man confronts her about his dislike for taking the lie detector test. And the Bachelorette’s secret admirer is finally exposed. But one disgruntled suitor verbally attacks the man who receives the group date rose.”
We’ve already seen some tension between the guys on this date, given that JJ O’Brien and Chris Soules each are seeing getting a little salty over whether or not they should be happy for the successes of others.
