‘Arrow’ season 3: See Stephen Amell’s latest (awesome) hero workout
If you want to get superhero fans to actually pay attention to a workout video, here is what you apparently have to do. You start off by calling your video a “superhero workout,” you actually play a superhero on the TV, and then have the video consist of you doing mostly-awesome things around an obstacle course.
Stephen Amell has come close to perfect this art in the two insanely-cool videos that he has released in preparation for “Arrow” season 3, and these show that there really is an intense amount of preparation that goes into playing Oliver Queen beyond just reading the scripts and hitting the gym. This also shows that Amell himself likes to do as much of the action as he can without the studio freaking out in the process.
This is really the time to ensure that you are in perfect shape for the season, given that the start of filming is really not that far away now. Scenes will be shot starting next month in Vancouver, and the series is preparing for a premiere date at some point in early October. (You can read more about prospective dates over at the link here.)
Given what we have seen on the show already as of late, there is little reason to believe that we are going to be seeing things change at all from an action perspective. There will be some new potential villains and heroes introduced, and Oliver will again have to take stock of where his life is now that he is without much of made him who he was in the early going.
