‘The Bachelorette’ star Andi Dorfman reportedy resigns from D.A. job
It appears that Andi Dorfman is leaving her career behind … at least temporarily, while she of course finishes up her duties starring on a reality show.
As reported by TMZ, the star of “The Bachelorette” decided to resign from her job at the D.A.’s office in Fulton County, Georgia rather than return to work on May 31. This should not come as much of a shock to anyone, given that she hasn’t been working there, and we feel like her schedule promoting the show probably makes it impossible for her to even work right now. She has to travel across the country to do publicity gigs, and there is both the “Men Tell All” and “After the Final Rose” specials coming up that need to be taped. This will probably always the plan for her from the beginning, and she may have just kept this opportunity there for as long as she did as a back-up in case she really hated doing the show.
In the end, this story is probably one that is getting way more attention and hoopla than it really deserves. For example, we sincerely doubt that Andi did this thinking that she wants to stay a reality TV star for the rest of her life. She probably wants to take advantage of the upcoming “Bachelorette” specials, what fame that comes after them, and will then go back to work not too long after that when things start to slow down a little bit. After all, the report says that the D.A.’s office is not opposed to hiring her back at some point. Think of this as a cross between Sean Lowe and Ashley Hebert, who went back to work probably quicker than any star of this show ever and now lives an almost-entirely normal life.
In the end, we feel like she’s going to be just fine, and while she of course probably has a desire to remain in the limelight for a while, there’s nothing inherently wrong with that if you do it the right way.
