‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 2, episode 19 review: What did Cat and Gabe learn?

Monday night’s “Beauty and the Beast” episode was certainly a transcendent one, given that almost everything that we saw over the course of this hour is going to come back and impact the rest of the season.

Gabe knows. Just those two words alone mean more than we can say, since it gives you a full idea of what he could be capable of the rest of the season. Not only that, but he just killed the one person who could prove him to be guilty of murder … which in a sense makes him a double-murderer. He really has nowhere left to turn anymore after going through all of this. Gabe will either have to turn himself in, or go on the run himself. With this witness now on the run, it’s surely going to be hard for him to be able to go off and have some sort of normal future again. It’s more than just unlikely; the thought of it is absurd.

While JT was strangely missing in action through all of this, we did have the return of Cat’s sister Heather … which was interesting, since it sets the stage for her to be more involved. It’s good for her to have more friends! We’re just glad that the secrets are now out in the open, and there is no more of the stereotypical  “hiding things from your family” plot.

This was overall one of the best episodes of “Beauty and the Beast” throughout the show’s run. It brought a ton to the table, and created non-stop action that also let us know that occasionally, it is okay to have a few moments to laugh. Grade: B+.
