‘Arrow’ season 3: Colton Haynes jokes about show’s future, shirtless Roy

Colton Haynes was one of the guests who made an appearance at the 2014 MuchMusic Video Awards red carpet, and given his level of energy and sense of humor, you had to think that there was some fun that was going to come out of this.

In the end, you were right! However, we have to say that we did not get nearly enough of Colton for our liking. He was one of the few TV stars really in attendance, and when asked for some scoop on “Arrow” season 3, all he was really able to hint at was some new characters before making a joke about him and Stephen Amell’s possible onscreen training regimen:

“It’s going too be epic … You may get to see some side-by-side shirtless salmon ladders.”

This is a joke that trails back to the show’s pilot, as shirtless Oliver training was probably one of the things that got some female fans checking out the show to go along with all of the die-hard Green Arrow fans.

So what do we want to see from the Roy Harper character on season 3? The biggest thing that we’re hoping for first and foremost is a chance to see more of his layers that don’t revolve around either the Glades, or his relationship with Thea. We have admitted in the past to not being huge fans of the character, and one of the biggest reasons why is most because of his performance being rooted in just a few storylines. The mirakuru plot is over, so maybe he will have a chance to move forward and discover his true identity now.
