‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: New look at possible heroes, villains, and a love interest

What could make this weekend better if you are an “Arrow” fan? We imagine that finding out some significant casting news could do the trick. TVLine posted today a list of four of the major new characters gracing the show, which should give you a greater idea that the plans is to introduce more potential adversaries now rather than trying to dwell solely on either Malcolm Merlyn or Slade Wilson as Big Bads. (John Barrowman is a series regular, and we may even see Manu Bennett again.)

The biggest thing to remember with these names is that some of them may be code, just to not allow fans of the comics to immediately figure out who each character is.

Daniel – A man in his twenties who possesses a brilliant mind, and hopes to become a tech magnate of sorts. Underneath the surface and the confidence, though, there is a dark past that could lead to him wanting to become a superhero. He is going to be a rival to Oliver in every sense of the word, and also a potential love interest for Felicity.

Seth – This is much more of a sure-fire villain, as he has an immense knowledge of chemistry, and uses a drug in order to drain some of the willpower of his adversaries. Think of him as a less-crazy, more physical version of The Count.

Toshi – A father, husband, and one of Oliver Queen’s mentors and friends during his time in Hong Kong. Let’s hope this ends better than it did with Slade.

Akiko – Toshi’s wife, and someone who is hardly a pushover herself when it comes to physicality.
