‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ season 7: Kenya Moore, Porsha Williams set to return
How about this for a surprise on Friday the 13th? For most of the past couple of months, it has looked almost like a certainty that either Porsha Williams, Kenya Moore, or both parties were going to be fired from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” after season 6. As entertaining as they sometimes were, we didn’t really have that much of a problem with it, either. It was hard to be excited about potentially rewarding people who brought megaphones to reunion shows and got involved in one of the most terrible displays of violence on reality TV that we’ve seen.
So what is Bravo going to down now? It looks like the answer, both inexplicably and understandably at the same time, is going to be to hire them back. According to a report from E! News, every cast member from last season, whether it be the two mentioned already, NeNe Leakes, Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey, and Phaedra Parks, are all close to signing on for a seventh season. This means more drama, more craziness, and also more money for all of them.
We get why all of the ladies want to come back and do the show again. Most of their profits come from the promotional appearances and products that they are able to cultivate thanks to the platform the show provides, and they are willing to put up with people desperate for camera time in order to get that. However, we don’t quite understand why Bravo would be afraid of new blood in this case, since there are surely other good characters in Atlanta who are not going to get into brawls on TV. The rest of the drama to us is fun, but like with the Joe vs. Joe fight on the New Jersey show, things step over the line when violence is involved.
