‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 2 spoilers: Meet the mysterious Mary

“Sleepy Hollow” season 2 will be coming on September 22, and while you have heard of a few new characters already who are joining the world, how about one more? The curious thing about this one is that they have another connection to the past of a certain Ichabod Crane, and you have not met them before.

According to a new report from TVLine, the character that you are going to be meeting on the show very soon is entitled Mary, and she happens to be a former love interest for Ichabod who was not named Katrina. Unlike her, she also happens to suffer from jealousy and an extremely wide range of emotion.

The part of this report that we figure most will be interested in, though, is the part that suggests that whoever plays her “must be comfortable working in the water” and also will be most likely required to wear prosthetics. Therefore, you have to imagine that this isprobably some sort of character with supernatural ties. Of course, we understand the inevitable reaction to this being “oh boy, another character with powers conveniently tied to Ichabod.” Personally, though, we see this as a story more about fate, and there were clearly many people that Ichabod was meant to meet over the course of his entire life.

The latest season of the show is going to start off in a pretty interesting place, where we have Ichabod and Katrina now in the modern-day world together, while Abbie is off somewhere in purgatory in desperate need of being saved.
