‘Mad Men’ season 7: Has Elisabeth Moss found herself major post-show gig?
With filming for “Mad Men” the series close to coming to an end, this is the time when many of the actors on the show understandably start to look towards the future. Some, including Ben Feldman (Ginsberg), already entered pilot season; meanwhile, others like Jon Hamm (Don Draper) have made feature films. Everyone has their own path to take.
For Elisabeth Moss, we imagine that this path is more interesting than most. She’s already done some other TV work including the excellent “Top of the Lake,” and has the backlog of credits that she can do most of whatever she wants moving forward. This includes heading back to the stage, which may just be what she decides to do.
According to the New York Times, Moss is in talks to star in a revival of “The Heidi Chronicles,” which is produced in part by Jeffrey Richards. He has a history with Moss that dates back to “Speed-the-Plow” back in 2008. We feel like any opportunity to see Moss in a new work is great news, especially when it ensures that we don’t go an extremely long period of time without seeing her do something else.
As for if we’ll see her in another TV series soon, though, that is a more difficult question to answer. The truth is that most actors after more than five years on a show want a looser schedule for a while, and may choose to return to TV a few years after they left. Tim Allen and Ray Romano are both good examples of that; Robin Williams even tried to do it after decades away from the medium.
