‘The Good Wife’ season 5 finale spoilers: More on Kalinda, Alicia’s friendship

Are Alicia and Kalinda going to be getting along again soon on “The Good Wife”? When it comes to things that fans really want to see, we know that this has to be pretty high on the list. However, there’s a difference between fan service, and doing something that is right for the show. That is what showrunners Robert and Michelle King really have to balance out right now.

Speaking to E! News, Robert King responded to a question about whether or not we would see the two characters (played by Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi) getting along soon, and he responded by saying that the idea was at least tossed around for a time:

“We do too and part of it is built into the concept of the series. We’ve had discussions with Jules and Jules thought we were pushing the Kalinda/Alicia friendship back too quickly … When we looked at it again, we tended to agree. It’s a relationship we want to keep alive, but in many ways like many things on the show, there’s some things we kind of slow move and others we kind of fast move.”

The good thing, and the reason that you don’t have to worry at all, is that there is going to be a whole lot more of the show still to come. The next season will air in the fall, and again be 22 episodes. Despite the lower ratings, CBS loves the critical acclaim here, and therefore sees no reason to get rid of this show anytime soon.
