‘Two and a Half Men’ season 12 will be final season for Ashton Kutcher, cast
There were several announcements that came out of the CBS upfront presentation today, but we imagine that this is one that many are currently taking notice of: “Two and a Half Men” will finally be no more on the network after its upcoming 12th season.
This decision, per network programming head Nina Tassler, was made largely so that the producers could have the time to tie up the story appropriately and give fans a final year stuffed full of big surprises:
“Chuck Lorre is creating a season-long event. We did very well last year with announcing final season of How I Met Your Mother here, too. Chuck is very psyched about this; he’s got some great ideas and very big surprises. We know fans and audiences respond to that and that should really give us a nice boost when we launch our new comedy.”
In the end, we do feel like this is going to be a fun 22 episodes ahead for the show, especially in that they can bring back so many old characters like Rose or Jane Lynch’s therapist for one last hurrah.
Two of the bigger question marks, though, are Angus T. Jones and Charlie Sheen. The latter’s character is dead, but if he and Lorre really wanted to work together on something, we could see them making a cameo for him as a ghost or something (except with the ghost this time not played by Kathy Bates). As for Jones, we know that producers have always welcomed him back despite him calling the show “filth.” He was even listed as recurring this year, even though he did not make a single appearance on the show.
