‘The Walking Dead’ season 5 spoilers: First photo of Andrew Lincoln’s Rick

“The Walking Dead” season 5 is not going to start airing on AMC until October, but there is certainly one thing that we have to give the network credit for right now: Finding a way to be as timely as possible.

Even though the show has only been filming a tiny amount of time so far, AMC released this first photo from the season this week … and it is of course of Andrew Lincoln’s Rick looking very disheveled. We would certainly assume that this is the same exact place that we saw him during the finale: Stuck inside of train car A. The only difference is that in this image, he is seen peeking out of it at what is sure to be carnage.

The arc for Rick and many of the other characters early on in the season could be almost at a standstill, mostly because we see there being no way at all that they are able to get out of this. After all, the characters are trapped! How do you get out of a trap? This is a question that is not going to be particularly easy to answer. The people that Rick is going to have to rely on are the ones that he hasn’t seen in a while. Namely, we are talking about such people as Carol and Tyreese, who are still seemingly out there heading to Terminus. We’d include Beth in this list, but the last time we saw her, she was not in a position to help anyone.
