‘Agents of SHIELD’ finale spoilers: Bill Paxton lays out Garrett’s plan
Tonight, the end will finally be here for Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD,” and we should get answers to many of our principal questions. What’s one of the more interesting ones to us? Whether or not Garrett somehow finds a way to live. The HYDRA head has become a de facto Big Bad over the past few weeks of the season, and that is certainly going to continue into tonight. (If he does end up leaving the show, we’ll be missing something good, given that he has brought a very different, exciting energy to things as of late.)
Of course, this show is extremely secretive, and it is therefore rather hard to get anyone to spell out anything too substantial about what is going to happen. With that being said, the man behind Garrett in Bill Paxton had the following that he could tease to Entertainment Weekly:
“My character comes back with a new perspective. A lot of secrets are going to be revealed, and it’s the finale, so a lot of things are going to come to their fruition.”
On a more general note, Paxton did start to spell out some more of what his experience was like jumping on this show midway through, and then being a part of this crazy ride with the rest of the cast and crew:
“I’ve had so much fun. I have to say, you come in to a show like that and everyone knows everybody. And I was really just kind of involved in the last half of this first season, but they welcomed me with open arms. I love the business of acting, I love actors, and I really thought these guys were not only really good actors but they were intelligent and really supportive of one another. They really embody the spirit of the characters they’re playing in terms of the team, working for S.H.I.E.L.D.”
Given that the show has already been renewed for a second season, you also have the luxury of watching this episode tonight without really having anything at all to worry about. There are not many times that you can say that such an opportunity is granted.
