‘Arrow’ season 2, episode 23 (finale) spoilers: Diggle, Oliver plan their next move

There are many ways that you could choose to describe the upcoming season 2 finale for “Arrow,” but you have to imagine that “intense” is going to be somewhere high on that list. You’ve got so many different factions and people to worry about, and who knew that ARGUS was going to be high on that list before last week?

With Amanda Waller threatening to blow up all of Starling City in order to stop the mirakuru army, Diggle and his ex-wife / wannabe-wife-again Lyla have to figure out a way to turn things around, and this is one focus of the sneak peek video below. Oliver does his best to play cheerleader, and encourage them to do everything in their power to try to delay Amanda.

Of course, in doing all of this we become increasingly worried about Diggle’s fate. The show has not been coy in the slightest that someone could die in this finale, and he has to be a good candidate in that he doesn’t have as firm of a role now on Team Arrow with Roy and Sara Lance around. With that being said, we would bawl immensely given that the relationship between him, Felicity, and Oliver is one of the things that we enjoy the most about the show. Not having that would make the story feel so much emptier, even if there are some characters who could theoretically take his place.
