‘NCIS’ season 11, episode 24 (finale) spoilers: McGee’s mission and more
On Tuesday night, the big moment is here courtesy of the “NCIS” finale. This is going to be an emotional episode with the passing of the Jackson Gibbs character, but you probably knew that before.
The new sneak peek below that we have is more based around the mission portion of the episode, which actually looks rather fun. You have McGee and Bishop on some undercover mission, which in turn lead to him getting hit on by some random woman that he runs into. It’s a fun little conversation, but something that he quickly turns away.
While all of this is going down, you have Gibbs and Tony back in a van. We’re assuming that this entire scene takes place before the terrible news about Jackson’s passing is found out. It’s either that, or Gibbs is just trying to be a good agent and do the job that he was hired to do.
At the end of the day, this could be one of the strongest “NCIS” finales to date, at least so long as it stays covering the emotional angles and does not work so hard to force some other things in here that are unneeded down our throats. For example, why in the world make us have to deal with a cliffhanger tonight? In between the “Castle” surprise and “How I Met Your Mother,” we are really dealing with enough of that as it is.
New episodes of “NCIS” will of course start again in the fall, and later tonight we will have some more about a potential season 12.

Matt, just hoping that they concentrate on what we want to see, i.e., the plot surrounding Jackson’s death and how Gibbs and the rest of the team deal with it. Nothing worse than when, as in “Past Present & Future”, you spend the episode mentally fast forwarding through the B plot to get back to the good emotional stuff. Can anyone actually remember Gibbs’ story whilst Tony was off searching for Ziva?! Very much hope the writers pull out all the stops – this has the potential to be a very emotional episode. I want them to make me cry!
In a perfect world I’d love to see some Gibbs / Tony bonding tonight – especially following their great dynamic in last week’s “Admiral’s Daughter”, but I’m sure that’s too much to ask for.
And having seen the preview I’m VERY much hoping that Tony won’t be reverting to his old silly self again – after last week’s smart, competent Tony, that would just be too cruel.
Oh, and you’ve confused me – Gary Glasberg has stated on several occasions that there will be no cliffhanger – that’s not changed has it, and by “potential season 12” do you mean potential stories, rather than potential series?

I thought the said there would not be a cliffhanger?
