‘Suits’ season 4 spoilers: Patrick J. Adams on Mike, Harvey’s new dynamic

The latest -Thanks to the premiere of “Rosemary’s Baby” on NBC tonight, Patrick J. Adams is doing a little bit of  a promotional tour. For a “Suits” fan, you know what that means? It’s basically an opportunity to get some more scoop from him all about what is coming when season 4 premieres next month.

We saw Mike take on a different sort of profession at the end of the third season, and based on the comments that the actor made in a TV Fanatic interview, this is precisely where we will see him when the story picks back up:

“The last season ended with Mike taking off from the firm and so we accomplished a little bit of a time jump. We pick up and we see him at work with his company, and he and Harvey sort of finding themselves on opposite sides of a very important case. Mike’s choosing to go one way with it, Harvey’s deciding to go another, so a little bit of a tete-a-tete and I think they’re doing some really exciting stuff this season.

“For me, as Mike, it’s been great, to get me into a different realm and give me something different to do and it allows Harvey and I to have a new interaction that I think people haven’t really seen since season 1.”

Now, the real question that we have is simply whether or not this is the direction and the dynamic that it will be for these characters the rest of the way this season. Could we really see Mike and Harvey apart for the entirety of the story? We have a hard time imagining it, but it is definitely something worth looking out for. It would be awfully hard to continually juggle these two characters working separate jobs, and then Rachel at the firm and then also at law school.
