‘Glee’ season 5 finale spoilers: Hear Darren Criss, Shirley MacLaine’s duet
Are you ready to hear a duet between one of the newest “Glee” guest stars? Then just listen below for Darren Criss and Shirley MacLaine singing together on the classic “No Time At All.” This is something that Darren had to be geeked-out at doing, mostly because of the sheer star power that comes with working with one of the most famous entertainers of all time.
The song itself is very old-school, and that serves as a good reminder to us that Darren is really one of those performers who could have existed many decades ago, and still would have roughly had the same career. This is not an attribute that you can give to many people out there, given that so many careers evolve over time and people are looking for different things.
So why is Darren’s Blaine performing with Shirley’s June in the first place? This ties into a story that we are going to see regarding the big showcase that she has planned for him, which in turn is probably going to be a huge falling-out between him and Kurt (Chris Colfer). If you remember back to earlier this season, Blaine promised his fiance that he would have some sort of part to play in this performance, even though in reality there is no such part available to him. Sad? You better believe it.
Whatever happens in this episode when it comes to this story will better set up the events of season 6. This is something we have heard about when it comes to every other story, and it is equally true here.
