NBC 2014-15 fall schedule: ‘The Blacklist’ moves, ‘The Biggest Loser’ to Thursdays

The Blacklist logo any seasonSunday, NBC made their entire plans for fall clear with the release of their full schedule for the upcoming season, and there are many things here worth taking note of.

First of all, the biggest headline to us is that for the first time in a long time, the network is somewhat abandoning their traditional comedy block on Thursday night, likely realizing that there is no way that they can compete there against “The Big Bang Theory.” This in turn means that the comedies are shifting somewhat to Tuesday, but NBC isn’t really making them that big of a priority in this schedule.

Also, there is a big vote of confidence in here below to the Katherine Heigl series “State of Affairs,” given that it will be given the post-“The Voice” timeslot starting with its premiere in November. Take a look at the tentative fall schedule below. Note that all times are Eastern.

Mondays

8:00-10:00 – “The Voice”

10:00-11:00 – “The Blacklist” (until November 10)

10:00-11:00 – “State of Affairs” (starting November 17)

Tuesdays

8:00-9:00 – “The Voice”

9:00:-9:30 – “Marry Me” (new comedy)

9:30-10:00 – “About a Boy”

10:00-11:00 – “Chicago Fire”

Wednesdays

8:00-9:00 – “The Mysteries of Laura” (new series)

9:00-10:00 – “Law & Order: SVU”

10:00-11:00 – “Chicago PD”

Thursdays

8:00-9:00 – “The Biggest Loser”

9:00-9:30 – “Bad Judge” (new comedy)

9:30-10:00 – “A To Z” (new comedy)

10:00-11:00 – “Parenthood” (final season)

Fridays

8:00-9:00 – “Dateline”

9:00-10:00 – “Grimm”

10:00-11:00 – “Constantine”

As for some other notes to remember:

  • “The Blacklist” will move to Thursdays at 9:00 p.m. starting in February. Its ratings have proven to be independent mostly of “The Voice,” so we’re not worried about this move at all.
  • “Parks and Recreation’s” final season, along with many new comedies, will premiere in midseason.
  • There are many dramas and event series coming, including “Emerald City” and “Heroes: Reborn.”
