‘Supernatural’ season 9: Misha Collins officially returning as regular for season 10
“Supernatural” fans, rejoice! You’re going to be seeing a whole lot more of Misha Collins on the show moving forward.
Sources have confirmed that the actor, who is best known for playing the angel Castiel, is going to return for the show’s upcoming tenth season as a series regular. This means that the series will have he, Jared Padalecki, and Jensen Ackles each on the payroll for a little while longer. This show has routinely carried fewer regulars than any other on television, and so having Misha around for two seasons in a row now in this position is a big deal.
As for whether or not you can read anything regarding the angel war storyline into this, we wouldn’t. It is certainly very well possible that the show is going to find a way to work in a new story if this one isn’t continued.
“Supernatural” still has two episodes left this season, and they may very well use these in order to properly tie together whatever happens to the angels. We very well expect a cliffhanger, and then plenty of great stories moving forward. Obviously, the sad news is in regards to “Supernatural: Bloodlines,” which is not going forward after a pilot that really didn’t go anywhere and was not entirely well-received from fans. This marks the first spin-off in a while that The CW hasn’t gone for, given that they have both “The Originals” now and “The Flash” coming up in the new year.
For now, though, let’s just celebrate and send good vibes Misha’s way!
