‘Big Brother Canada 2’ review: Was Heather or Neda evicted … and why?
Tonight marked the penultimate episode of “Big Brother Canada,” and after watching it, we are even more excited than we were already for the finale. Quick announcement: We’re going to be there! Be on the lookout in the upcoming days for backyard interviews and so much more coverage from the big night. Last year’s finale is going to be tough to top, though!
The eviction here is one that you probably saw coming from a mile away: Heather is no more in this game. She was voted out by Jon, but he did about as good of a job as he could defusing her before she went into the jury. We liked the fact, as well, that while Jon had some luck in the Veto, he also had to do a lot of things himself to win … like give up slop and showers and also answer some trivia questions. We’re not going to lie: Jon was so insanely likable in this Veto. That makes him getting Canada’s vote a little easier.
When it comes to actually analyzing Jon’s decision, we feel like it was the right one based on the information that he has. His perception is that Neda would take him to the end, and while that may not happen, he has to go on that. Heather for sure wouldn’t have taken him, and he probably knew that. Also, it’s hard to sympathize with Heather after she didn’t want to wear a squirrel costume the rest of the season.
Now, those “sell yourself to Canada” videos … Neda’s was our favorite since it combined humor and emotion so well, and we’d go from there to Jon (who was at least honest about his lack of “Big Brother” knowledge, but didn’t really convince people to vote for him) and then finally Sabrina, whose argument made very little sense.
All in all, we leave tonight feeling very excited! This is going to be a great finish to the season. Grade: A-.
