‘The Blacklist’ episode 22 (finale) spoilers: First look at Liz, Red’s next showdown
Six days from now, the future of some of your favorite characters on “The Blacklist” will finally be revealed. Hopefully, this will along the way also include us finding out whether or not Raymond Reddington is someone who has any real interest in Liz Keen beyond his own personal gain.
You can see the first image released from NBC of the finale above, and it features Megan Boone and James Spader’s characters sitting down for a little chat. Granted, we don’t imagine that this is a particularly happy one. These two characters are now working together truly out of necessity; you cannot expect someone to want to enjoy their time with a man responsible for killing their father, so this is really the best that you can ever hope for.
All we hope for from this episode is that we either understand better just who is running this entire operation that has even Red afraid, and what sort of role Tom Keen has in the story. We imagine that he will find a way to be involved in all of this sooner rather than later, given that Ryan Eggold is a series regular, and based on how big of a part of the show he was, it would be strange to have him suddenly not matter in the final chapter of the season.
Given that the show has been renewed for a while, just brace yourself for an epic cliffhanger. After all, the show would be doing itself a disservice it did not set up something to get you excited about a second season.
