‘The Blacklist’: Megan Boone on James Spader, season 2 expectations, and more

The Blacklist logo any season“The Blacklist” is such a serious show, so why not take a few minutes to listen to one of the actors let loose? Megan Boone spends so much time dealing with hard / devastating times for her character, her appearance on VH1’s “Big Morning Buzz Live” had to feel like a breath of fresh air.

Now that production is almost over for the show, how is she feeling? She told show host Nick Lachey that it was intense experience, but one that she is very glad she made it through:

“I’m in an incredible place because I feel like I just went through this obstacle course, where you don’t know if you can do it or not … [But] at every turn, you choose to overcome.”

Boone also talks in the video below about how she had to immediately stab James Spader in the neck (at least in fictional form) not long after starting to work with him, the familial atmosphere on the set now that there are so many months of work in the past, and also how she hopes to go into season 2 with expectations that are not augmented that much from where they were at the start of the show. The last thing that you want to do is buy into your own hype, even if you are a part of a hit TV show that has come close to tying “The Voice” in the ratings the past few weeks.
