‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 15, episode 21 preview: First look at ‘Reasonable Doubt’

Law & Order: SVU logoNext week on “Law & Order: SVU,” there is going to be another emotional episode on the air entitled “Reasonable Doubt.” However, this is not going to be the same sort of “emotional” that we’ve seen on the show as of late with Agent Benson in peril; instead, this is what the show really has made its bread and butter on over the years. You have a character of a big-name producer who is accused of some serious acts in regards to his daughter, and then you have questions as to whether or not this entire scheme was cooked up by the child’s mother to taint his reputation.

The episode is entitled “Reasonable Doubt,” which makes a good deal of sense given that this is what this story will almost surely be about. It has to be determined whether or not there is a genuine reason to question the accusations. Bradley Whitford leads the sort of all-star guest cast that you could only expect when talking about a show like this. Take a look at the official synopsis below:

“Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Murphy (guest star Donal Logue) question renowned television producer Frank Maddox (guest star Bradley Whitford) when he’s accused of molesting his 8 year-old daughter Chelsea (guest star Clare Foley). Maddox’s estranged wife, actress Catherine Summers (guest star Samantha Mathis), wants justice for her daughter but refuses to cooperate, leading the cops to suspect the accusation was a ploy to win the public’s favor. With Catherine’s young sister Rose (guest star Emma Bell) engaged to Maddox and accusations flying back and forth in the media, Benson strives to help a child by discovering the truth. Also starring Ice-T (Detective Odafin Tutuola), Danny Pino (Detective Nick Amaro), Kelli Giddish (Detective Amanda Rollins) and Raúl Esparza (ADA Rafael Barba). Also guest starring Jeffrey Tambor (Counselor Lester Cohen), Celia Keenan-Bolger (Mavis Summers), Aida Turturro (Judge Felicia Catano), Geraldo Rivera (as himself) and Ann Curry (as herself).”
