‘The Tomorrow People’ finale spoilers: ‘Son of Man’; Robbie Amell vs. The Machine

“The Tomorrow People” has been building to an epic conclusion to its first season, and you are going to witness that when “Son of Man” next week. Showrunner Phil Klemmer wrote the script for this hour, which will put a culmination to the battle against The Founder, some of the personal relationships, and also help us to figure out who will emerge from this battle alive.

You may have seen the full synopsis below for this episode at some point, but we imagine that it will make a heck of a lot more sense now that you have actually seen tonight’s episode. Check it out:

Russell (Aaron Yoo) realizes his alliance with The Founder (guest star Simon Merrells) was a mistake, and tries to make up for his decision by saving Cara (Peyton List) from an Ultra ambush. Stephen (Robbie Amell) understands that he must be the one to stop The Machine and the extermination of humanity, but he fears he may be too late. Russell offers up a plan to help Stephen, but he is going to need everyone’s help, including John (Luke Mitchell) and Astrid (Madeleine Mantock), if they are going to have any chance to survive. Meanwhile, Jedikiah (Mark Pellegrino) offers John an interesting opportunity that could have them working together again.”

Sound exciting? Well, Klemmer in company had the challenge of creating something that may be both a season and a series finale, and we certainly do not envy that predicament. It is going to be very difficult in order to satisfy people from all directions with this.
