‘Hart of Dixie’ season 3, episode 19 reaction: The next big breakup
Friday night’s “Hart of Dixie” episode may as well have been called “The Inevitable” for one simple reason: We all knew that this was coming for quite a while.
With Vivian Wilkes preparing for a move, and her holding onto feelings for her ex-husband and the father of her child, it felt almost telegraphed that we were going to see the end for her relationship with Wade. The two got along great for the time that they were together, but there were always some nagging problems that suggested trouble at some point … with the big one being that the show has probably always had other plans for the character.
With the future of the show uncertain, the writers obviously want to put Zoe and Wade in some sort of position where they can be together in time. Is he made at her right now? Sure, but anger doesn’t necessary have to last forever. Eventually, we imagine that things are going to change for the two, and they will at least reconsider some of the feelings that they once had for each other.
As for the rest of the episode, it really wasn’t that important save for seeing Lavon and Annabeth finally start to pick up the pieces of their relationship, and also trying to figure out if George is completely starting to lose it. At least the show is giving all of their main characters something to do right now, and with Vivian potentially out of the table now, the rest of the season should be that much more interesting.
