‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5 spoilers: (Multiple) big deaths still on the way
For those who wondered whether or not there could be an increased body count the rest of the way on “The Vampire Diaries” season 5, the simple answer to that is “yes.” If you thought that losing Enzo from the realm of the living would be the end of the line for a while, think again. Speaking to Zap2It, executive producer Caroline Dries confirmed that there would be three more people who die, permanently, before the season comes to a close.
Granted, you have to remember here that the people who die do not necessarily have to be series regulars like what we saw with Alaric, who we will want to see more of every week. It could be recurring roles like Liv or Markos, whose absence will not impact the overall story.
One person who is definitely not gone from the show despite dying is Enzo himself. Dries told the website that there are still big plans for the character, and those will continue to unravel over the weeks ahead:
“You just wait. Just wait and see … He can do a lot from the Other Side. He’s determined to make Damon’s life and Stefan’s life a living hell. We realize how and why he’s able to do that, and it’s because all the turmoil on the Other Side is giving him more liberties than other ghosts have had. So his story isn’t just about him being the villain but it’s also about us getting a new set of eyes into this world, the Other Side world.”
While we haven’t particularly loved most of the Traveler storyline, there are some further stories in the other side that could be interesting to explore further. Hopefully, Enzo’s presence over there will add to that, since he has been such an integral part of this story so far.
