‘Game of Thrones’ season 4, episode 4 preview: Emilia Clarke’s move in ‘Oathkeeper’
“Game of Thrones” has taken a variety of interesting turns, but Sunday night’s new episode “Breaker of Chains” continued both the good and the bad. Tyrion’s future looks incredibly bleak, and Peter Dinklage is killing it as he awaits what could be a horrible future.
Hopefully, “Oathkeeper” next week will be a little bit more of an eventful episode than what we saw this time around. Before we do anything else, take a look at the synopsis below:
“Dany balances justice and mercy. Jaime tasks Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) with his honor. Jon secures volunteers while Bran, Jojen (Thomas Brodie-Sangster), Meera (Ellie Kendrick) and Hodor (Kristian Nairn) stumble on shelter.”
Obviously, you should expect this to be an enormous episode for one Emilia Clarke, as she struggles in the role now of being a better conqueror. This is the first time that she has really faced the sort of challenge that she is up against now, and it will really show her mettle as a leader. As she starts to approach King’s Landing in hopes of becoming a ruler, she has to get used to taking on this role.
Is it strange that we now want Brienne to have someone better than Jaime after what we saw with him and Cercei this week? Let’s say that Jaime being an awful person has ruined our desire for that ship to happen. We are also surprisingly excited to see a Bran story ahead after he hasn’t been around for very much of the season.
