‘King of the Nerds’ season 3 now casting; find out more details now!

We’ve literally made our love of “King of the Nerds” no secret at all over the first four months of 2014. We’ve written reviews, cast spotlights, conducted podcasts, and done interviews with those who have stepped into the hallowed halls of Nerdvana.

Now, we are very much pleased to report that there is an opportunity out there for you to potentially follow in the footsteps of Celeste or Kayla in hopes of seizing the throne for yourself. Both co-host / executive producer Curtis Armstrong and the show’s official casting Twitter have announced that they are looking for more candidates to appear on a third season, and have also given you a few pieces of information about what they are looking for.

Basically, casting is looking for extremely passionate nerds with any particular area of expertise, and want big characters and competitive people to sign up. Obviously the best thing you can do to get on the show is be yourself, but also be sure to show off the best side of yourself. Have energy, and don’t be afraid to be fearless and let your personality shine. It’s a show that embraces you! It’s not often that you get to name-drop “Final Fantasy” titles while also showing off your Moon Knight costume.

On a different note, we kind of dig the crown made out of game controllers. It’s like the new Pharrell’s hat, except cooler and with no resemblance at all to Smokey the Bear.

For the record, “King of the Nerds” has not been officially renewed by TBS yet, but preliminary casting is a step in the right direction.
