‘Suits’ season 4 spoilers: ‘The Newsroom’ guest to work with Mike Ross
During the season 3 finale of “Suits,” it was uncovered that Mike Ross had found a unique way to get himself out of his present predicament: A new place of employment. While it’s not clear if he will stay there for an extended period of time, we do at least know someone who is going to be joining him at the investment firm for the time being.
Sources confirmed that former “The Newsroom” guest Melanie Papalia (Aubrey) has been tapped to recur on the fourth season in the role of Amy, the new executive secretary for Mike Ross at the investment firm. She’s a helpful character who seemingly gets along well with him, and even assists him in focusing during tough times. That seems like going above and beyond in the call of duty.
We anticipate that with Mike’s new location, there will be quite a few new additions and modifications to the cast. As a matter of fact, it makes sense. You need new people to establish the world that Mike is in as legitimate, and this is a great way to do that. However, we do also stand by some of what we said following the finale yesterday: The last thing that we want to see is for “Suits” to spend so much time away from Harvey and the characters over at the firm that it doesn’t feel like the firm anymore.
What will be interesting in season 4, therefore, is seeing just how many episodes it takes before the characters all end up clashing again. It’s a risky move to keep Mike and Harvey away from spending much time together, but “Suits” has been a risky show at times.
