‘Royal Pains’ season 6 spoilers: Diane Farr cast as…

“Royal Pains” is by and large a fairly under-the-radar show, and it’s thanks to that we don’t get as many opportunities to write about the show as we would like. But with filming underway now for new episodes, we are at least pleased to have a new casting updates regarding a familiar face turning up in an upcoming season 6 episode.

According to Variety, Diane Farr of “Numb8ers” fame has been cast for the upcoming fourth episode of the season, and will play someone who is potentially the patient of the week, a private investigator who suffers from an unknown ailment, which could in term keep her from breaking the cast that she has long hoped she would be able to solve. A rather frustrating dilemma, no?

Farr joins a roster of other notable actors who have appeared on the show in the past, with Frances Conroy and Henry Winkler each making appearances in the past season. The appeal for being on this show seems to be pretty simple: An opportunity to film something fairly light-hearted in scenic locales, and do something a little different than the standard drama. Also, USA has the sort of fans that will follow you from one show to the next. Just look at how passionate “White Collar” fans were when they realized that their show was in limbo to come back for another season, or “Psych” fanatics following the end of their series finale.

There is no “Royal Pains” premiere date yet, but we’ll let you know when one is available.
