ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 3, episode 18 preview: Emily VanCamp’s trouble in ‘Blood’

Next week’s “Revenge” is promising to bring quite a few surprises to our doorstep … and also potentially the death of a character. With a title like “Blood,” it’s pretty easy to figure out that Emily VanCamp is going to have a chance to play a variety of difficult situations.

The biggest thing that the promo below wants to highlight, though, is very simple to figure out: The return of Mason Treadwell. This is a guy who has caused countless headaches in the past, and even though he and Emily seemed to have an understanding in the past, that may carry over into the present.  Just take a look at the official synopsis below if you want to get some more details:

“Investigations into Pascal lead Emily and Aiden to uncover some long buried family secrets, while Victoria pays a surprise visit to former ally Mason Treadwell as she gets ever closer to exposing Emily.”

At this point, it does feel like there needs to be a major shake-up to the formula, and bringing Mason back on board may be that very thing. Since it feels like this Emily vs. Victoria battle is going to go on until the end of the series, wouldn’t it be more interesting at this point to finally start showing what it would be like if the latter finally did learn the truth? Emily’s victory could be even more impressive if everyone learned just who she really is, and she still found a way to come out on top.
