‘The Walking Dead’ season 4, episode 16 video: Andrew Lincoln and interruptions

Andrew Lincoln -Why won’t anyone listen to Rick Grimes? In the sneak peek below from Sunday’s “The Walking Dead” season finale “A,” you actually get an opportunity to hear Andrew Lincoln’s character speak more than he has the vast majority of the past eight episodes. Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean that Carl is going to be that inclined to care.

Right in the middle of Rick trying to give him a master class in how to catch small animals (seemingly a very important thing to know in the post-zombie apocalypse), Chandler Riggs’ character hears a voice crying for help, and then promptly takes off to see who it is. We almost immediately find this to be problematic, given that at the end of last season, Carl was not even remotely about helping others. As a matter of fact, he was ready to shoot just about anyone that he felt was suspicious. Why go and lending a helping hand now?

This is also not good news that there is someone crying “help” right now thanks to wait we know in terms of the story. You have the Claimers out there somewhere looking for Rick, and while Daryl may be with him, he has no idea who the guy that they are hunting is. There’s only one of him, anyway, and a whole mob of Claimers; Daryl may be badass, but we have a very difficult time imagining that he is capable of a  Chuck Norris style beatdown on this many people. If they are calling for Carl, he may be the one who ends up getting caught in the crosshairs, as well.
