‘The Good Wife’ season 5, episode 16 preview: A sad Julianna Margulies sneak peek

Before you get to watching either Sunday night’s episode of “The Good Wife” or even before you watch the sneak peek for it below, we have one bit of necessary advice for you now: Get out a box of tissues. After all, you are sorely going to need them.

This preview video is all about one key moment that you were dreading: Alicia getting “the call.” It happens while she is at some sort of function for her husband, and right before she is introduced to the crowd, she is handed the phone from Eli. Kalinda is on the other end, and she is the one to have to deliver the news to her that Will was shot in the courthouse by a client, and he didn’t make it.

From here, Eli tells her to go, and the action of the rest of the episode begins. We do not want to give too much away for those who don’t want to have anything completely ruined for them, but there will be flashbacks throughout that show you more of what Will’s last day was like before this shooting happened. This will allow the characters to start to get their closure, and also allow for the story to start to get adjusted to not having Josh Charles around in the present. We know that we’re going to have to take some time to get through that adjustment, as well.
