‘Two and a Half Men’ season 11 promo: A ‘Paisley’ celebration with ‘The Crazy Ones’

After a little hiatus thanks to NCAA Basketball (which happens on CBS every year around this time), “Two and a Half Men” and “The Crazy Ones” are among the comedies that are returning to the air this coming week. That means some more opportunities to laugh, or as the network suggests in their latest promo, more reasons to marvel over the Paisley family showing up on various shows.

As you are probably familiar, Kimberly Williams-Paisley is currently in the middle of an arc on the sitcom as Gretchen, Larry’s sister and Alan Harper’s current love interest. These two have a ton in common, which is so much to the chagrin of Alan’s longtime love Lyndsey. Meanwhile, Kimberly’s husband Brad is guest-starring on “The Crazy Ones” this week in a role that is going to be a little bit more familiar to him. Why? He’s basically playing himself.

When it comes to mapping out these shows’ future, things are not looking so great for “The Crazy Ones” thanks to it not being one of the dozen-plus shows that CBS picked up earlier this month for another season. However, we know already that they have made this move with “Two and a Half Men,” which brings it to a whopping 12 go-arounds on the air. That means more opportunities for Jon Cryer to fill his entire house with money, or for Ashton Kutcher to apparently now prepare for fatherhood. (Ironically, his fiancee Mila Kunis is going to be appearing on the show not too long after this one airs, and Williams-Paisley still has some more episodes to come, as well.)
