TV quick hits: ‘Covert Affairs’ season 4, ‘2 Broke Girls’ scoop; ‘Dancing with the Stars’ guest judges

Does “Dancing with the Stars” really need guest judges? No, and the idea of them bringing in people with no dance experience at all to do this is one of the most ridiculous things ever. This brings us back to the days of Ellen DeGeneres on “American Idol,” or Carly Rae Jepsen back when she was a guest judge on “So You Think You Can Dance.”

The latest reveal is that “Good Morning America” host Robin Roberts is going to guest-judge on Monday’s edition of the show, and later this season there will be appearances from Ricky Martin, Julianne Hough, and also Redfoo of LMFAO. Unless Redfoo and Roberts have a secret background in dance, we have no clue why they are there. Roberts claims that she is going to try to take the perspective of the viewer watching at home, but for this show in particular, we rely on the judges to known what are some of the technical things that we should be looking for in good dancing.

We’ll cease our complaining for now, mostly because there are also some other important TV topics now to disucss.

Betsy Brandt’s new gig – In addition to recurring on the second season of Showtime’s “Maters of Sex,” we also know now just what Betsy Brandt has up her sleeve. Sources confirm that she has boarded the new upstairs / downstairs drama on NBC entitled “The Club,” which is set around a country club.

“Covert Affairs” scoop – E! News reporters that Perry Reeves of “Entourage” fame has signed on for an arc on “Covert Affairs” season 4, playing Caitlin, the COO of McQuaid Security. Her brother Ryan is going to be a significant part of the season, and her character is known for being tough and able to hold their own.

“2 Broke Girls” featuring Lindsay Lohan – Monday, April 14 marks the arrival of Lindsay Lohan to “2 Broke Girls,” which is a part you have probably heard about already. Watch the first promo below for some fun moments.
