ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 3, episode 16 review: Who leaked Emily Thorne’s medical records?
On Sunday night’s “Revenge” episode, it really did feel like Emily Thorne was feeling the very word in the episode’s title: Disgrace. After all, she found herself in a position where she was completely humiliated at the hands of Victoria Grayson, and Daniel finally got what he wanted in a divorce.
But is there more to this story than what we have seen already? You better believe it. Emily is a crafty, intelligent woman … and she is never someone to lose to the Grayson family that easily. She found a way in order to leak her own medical records publicly, which is the proof that everyone in the public eye needed to know that Emily faked her pregnancy, and tricked her beau Daniel into getting married to her. He had the sympathy of the American public, and the opportunity to give Emily nothing in the divorce.
However, Emily still had leverage. As she explained to Nolan at the tail end of the episode, she still had quite the big move up her sleeve in the form of some new, extremely valuable information: Handwriting, which proves that Pascal is much more involved in everything than anyone first thought. (Convenient, given that he has just come into town.) This does put her almost at an immediate crossroads with Jack, though, given the relationship that he has with Pascal’s daughter Margaux.
All of these little twists and turns were very interesting, and infinitely more so than some of the weaker portions of this story. We really don’t care so much about Nolan’s new assistant Javier for the time being, mostly because it feels like the prison version of “Two and a Half Men.” Also, can we give Charlotte a little something more to do at some point in the near future? Grade: B.

The good of this episode: Jack is an awesome ally and Stevie’s character has really developed Jack the best since Amanda and Declan died. Nolan is still his snarky self and Javier is useful and makes me laugh (that house arrest confession made me laugh). While Charlotte was still downplayed in this episode, she actually was far less annoying and useless than lately. I’m also glad Aiden wasn’t around (despite his usefulness the previous episode), but maybe he’ll get better when we see the flashbacks.
The neutral: Conrad and Pascal were OK, but the juicier stuff should be coming next episode. Can’t wait for the flashbacks next Sunday.
The bad of this episode: Daniel’s a momma’s boy. He seriously needs to grow up; he was more mature in season 1 before he knew the David Clarke truth. Victoria was annoying when she yelled at Emily in the theater; what is she, a high school prom queen or something? Margeaux (sp) is annoying; she’s been on way too long and at least Sara left and we’re relieved from Patrick for a while (WHY IS MARGEAUX’S ACTRESS BEING PROMOTED TO SEASON 4 MAIN CAST AGAIN?). She’s basically a female French version of Daniel.
My grade: B

‘She’s basically a female French version of Daniel.’
Uh, no. Do you even watch this show? Daniel and Margaux are pretty much complete opposites of each other. The only similarity they have are the fact that they’re both the offspring of billionaires. Other than that, Daniel is whiny, dumb, violent, entitled and he believes that everything should be handed to him on a silver platter. Margaux on the other hand is intelligent, strong minded, independent and genuinely kind. How the hell are they in any way alike?? Margaux is a sweet character with a lot of potential who is played by a great actress, THAT’S why she’s being promoted to main cast.

*sarcasm mode* No, I don’t watch this show. I just ask for spoilers off my friends. *ends sarcasm* Yeah, I watch the show, dumbass; why the hell do you think I comment my own reviews every week? Idiot. The French broad was calling her dad by his first name and pouting with Daniel about “showing [their] fathers” at the opera; she’s just as whiny as Daniel. The only useful thing for her is her relationship with Jack, so he won’t reminisce about Amanda and Declan and the whiny fanbase won’t label grief as being spoiled. She needs to join Kenny, Trey, Regina, and Sara in the “lets never use these characters again, but lets not kill em off either” pile.

Meant to say write my own reviews in the comment sections.

‘French broad’? Classy. That alone tells me pretty much everything I need to know about you and why you can’t appreciate a female character that’s kind hearted, strong minded and independent without resorting to cattiness like every other female character in this show. So wait, let me get this straight – Margaux spends *one* episode being justifiably angry at her father and Conrad and that makes her just the same as Daniel who so far has shot three people and constantly waltzes around acting like the most self-entitled douche on the planet without working for any of it? That’s some swell logic you’ve got going on there. If you’re honestly so shallow that you can’t see that the two characters are similar on a very very base level only (e.g. they’re both from privileged backgrounds) but their personalities are 100% different then I can’t help you. I notice that you haven’t responded to any of the rest of my comment regarding the complete difference of the two characters, probably because it’s correct and you have no reply to it. Bye now.
