‘Doctor Who’ season 8 spoilers: Was Peter Capaldi hurt while filming?

The latest -

It takes quite a bit of effort to be The Doctor, and with that in mind, it is very easy for all Whovians to worry about anytime that there is trouble on the “Doctor Who” set.

Luckily, we’re here to ring a false alarm bell on what is a story that has quickly caught fire across the entire internet: Despite whatever your concerns may be, we are pleased to say that Peter Capaldi has not injured himself. We don’t want to spoil too much here, given that we have a policy against staring set photos (it ruins the necessarily privacy that a content creator should have). However, what we will say is that the actor was spotted with a rather large gash on his forehead, which lead almost immediately to vast internet speculation regarding whether or not he is all right.

Luckily, we are pleased to say that there is no cause for concern whatsoever. A BBC spokesperson confirmed (per the Daily Mail) that the gash that Capaldi was sporting was actually a part of a scene. Therefore, there is no reason at the moment to worry about his well-being, and the show will go on. Just don’t believe all of the stories that are floating around out there.

Capaldi, Jenna Coleman, and the remainder of the “Doctor Who” cast are going to continue to shoot new episodes for the eighth season of the show over the coming months, with the premiere likely airing on both BBC and BBC America in September. The plan is to air all thirteen episodes consecutively, and given that, there is really no way for the show to put them all out and be done by Christmas.
